I am a PhD student in the Data Science Lab at Univeristy at Buffalo, advised by Dr. Varun Chandola.
My research focuses on advancing Bayesian Optimization and Gaussian Processes, with particular emphasis on enhancing their cost efficiency and scalability to high-dimensional problems.
I am passionate about research challenges that arise when developing resource-efficient algorithms for complex optimization problems. I'm particularly interested in:
- Sequential decision-making under uncertainty for design optimization, discovery, predictive models, decision policies etc.
- Probabilistic modeling with Gaussian Processes and deep learning over combinatorial structured data
- Combining domain knowledge and data to create structured models with uncertainty quantification
